Side Effect of Antibiotics on Menses, Reasons for Delay in Periods
Menstrual cycle is the
monthly flow of vaginal blood, secretions and cell from uterus. It is observed
that use of antibiotics can delay or make the menses to come early. Effects of
antibiotics on menses not completely certain some studies are conducted on it
in past. Women who are taking antibiotics at regular basis observe difference
in their menses routine.
The effects on menses are
not due to the antibiotics themselves, but rather to infections and
interactions of that antibiotics used to treat disease. Penicillin which is the
most common type of antibiotics used to see the effect on menses in 1940s, by
two British medical specialists.
Mostly women experience
their sensitive days longer than normal routines. Actually this is because of
using antibiotics. There are many medicines available on market, but do not try
it own without consulting any specialist. Menses stages differ according to
generic of women, it’s doesn’t mean that use of extra medicine for relieving
pain give only negative outcomes.
Effect Of Antibiotics On
Menstrual Cycle:
Mostly ladies are feeling
cramp badly during all days, observe your endometrium blood, that is thick or
not. Thickness of discharge depends on your baby health. First 3 days mostly
women’s discharge blood from vaginal with little or bad pain on legs or entire
pelvis area. During this cycle mostly beginners feeling sever cramps and
vomiting.
Another study shown the
effects of antibiotics on menses, there is an infection of fallopian tubes
which is called salpingitis, it is treated with antibiotics. These antibiotics
become the reason of heavy and excessive bleeding. May be it happens because of
some other reason like due to the scar tissue from the damaged organ or
infection blocking the fallopian tube and thus causes heavy bleeding. It can
show a correlation between antibiotics and frequently heavy bleeding.
There also arises a
question that whether the birth control pills affects the menstruation or not? Well
it’s a common thing that when birth control pills are to be taken then there is
an irregularity in menstrual cycle. There isn’t any theory present regarding
it, which can be proven or disproven.
At the end, let me tell
you that there isn’t any definite thing about those antibiotics has effects on
menstruation. Basically we have examples of many women who have experiences
some effects on their periods while taking antibiotics for some reason or for
the treatment of some kind of infections. The range of experiences of women
regarding the effects of antibiotics on menses also shows some sort of strong
evidences. As all of the women are not medical professionals so they can’t give
a statement that the use of antibiotics causes imbalance in the menstrual cycle. That would be the worst side effect of
antibiotics on menses that you will experience excessive bleeding, occurs due
to any obstruction or damage of the internal lining of body or can be really
because of the antibiotics but it isn’t studied with confirmation.
